Balıkesir' Window to the world :Bandırma

   Bandırma, which has been the intersection point of civilization throughout history and the entrance point of the  region with its manificent port , is one of the tree boroughs that is slated to become a city.

    Bandırma, which is like an entrance to the Marmara region with its developed and fully equipped  port,is an important harbor city.The borough , which is located between İstanbul, Bursa and İzmir , is number one in Balıkesir and 30th among 858 boroughs in Turkey with its strategic location and advancement.

   Bandırma Bird Paradise National Park:Kuş cenneti,which is turkey's smallest national park in terms of area coverage and is a very special region with the 266 types of birds, 118 types of plants and 23 types of fish it hosts. İt is very important in terms of the preservation and continuation of biolagical variety , natural life and ecologic balance.
    The national park is located to the northeast of lake Manyas ,which is 18 km from the center of Bandırma. The national park administrative building and observation area are located  with in the borders of Bandırma.
