Burhaniye:A City That Illuminated Northern Aegean

    Burhaniye,which was the center of justice ,peace,health and gatherings in the Antique age ,is a cute settlement area in the Edremit bay,which is known as the "Olive Riviera".

   
The borough which is a neighbor of the Aegean  sea in the west, Edremit in the north,Gomeç and Ayvalik in the south and Bergama in the southeast,is situated on a plane with fruitful lands between Kazdağları and Madra mountain.

 ADRAMYTTEİON ANTİQUE CİTY
    There are hardly any remains from the antique city which is now known as old Edremit.The reason for this is that the area was invaded so many times during its history and was completely abandoned in 1090.
    Almost all parts of ören and a large space around it are filled with the remnants of the antique city so ,a significant part of oren was declareda protected  site.
